DPS "Tweak" Triggers North Stapleton Secession Threat

November 19, 2013 by admin

Community leaders in Conservatory Green, incensed by Denver Public Schools’ plan to disregard community input and effectively separate North and South Stapleton for school admission purposes, announced Thursday that they will petition to join the new state of North Colorado in protest. “We’ve signed petitions, we’ve responded to surveys, we’ve attended meetings, yet nobody seems to care,” said resident Ben Strassburg. “At this point, we feel our best option is taking our ball and going home. To a new state.” [Read more…] about DPS "Tweak" Triggers North Stapleton Secession Threat

With the school zoning situation front and center and the Eastbridge Town Center never-ending quagmire, other Stapleton issues are sometimes lost or forgotten. “It’s very exciting that Stapleton will continue to have more and more access to public transportation,” said resident Tim Gates. “With the East Rail Line, commuters will have more options to ride safely, more cost-effectively, and environmentally friendly. Stapleton Wives Pissed “Movember” Giving Husbands Excuse to Let Themselves Go

November 19, 2013 by admin

Stapleton men already take a backseat to their typically much more attractive spouses. But with “Movembver” men feel they are more justified in letting themselves go. “With work, kids, and everything else, it’s pretty hard trying to look good,” said resident Tom Potter. “I try to get to the gym once a week, but it just isn’t easy.” Tom’s wife Dana disagrees. “He has plenty of time to get to the gym and take care of himself,” said Dana. “He simply thinks of other things to occupy his time. Like not going to the gym.” [Read more…] about Stapleton Wives Pissed “Movember” Giving Husbands Excuse to Let Themselves Go

Stapleton Walmart King of the (Five Phalange) Discount!

November 19, 2013 by admin

The Denver Post recently reported that the Stapleton Walmart is by far the city’s leading shoplifting destination. That’s right Stapleton, we’re number one, again. Apparently, America’s lowest guaranteed prices aren’t quite low enough for the shoplifting community who is demanding an even better deal than Walmart is willing to match. In fact, Walmart is reporting that the Stapleton Walmart is in the top 5% nationwide for shoplifting. Shocking? Not really. Without even considering socioeconomics, I think we may be able to come up with a few reasons why the Stapleton Walmart reigns supreme when it comes to the ol’ smash and grab.
