Homeowners with “Butler’s Pantry” Finally Get Butler

October 7, 2015 by admin

butler's pantryIn a much anticipated move, the Morris family finally hired a butler to go with their butler’s pantry in their elegant Parkwood Home. “We have been waiting to do this for years,” said Timothy Morris. “Our house felt incomplete. But now, with Alfred, we finally feel like our house is the home we always thought it could be.” Although Alfred does not live in the home, he works from noon to 8 every day. “He’s not a nanny, and he’s not a housecleaner,” remarked Timothy. “So, we still have those duties that we are handling or hiring out for. He helps prepare lunches, of course dinners, and gets drinks for us and guests at dinner parties. He’s like family to us, but we treat him like a butler. It just gives the house the regal “Parkwood feel” we always wanted.” [Read more…] about Homeowners with “Butler’s Pantry” Finally Get Butler

Stapleton Moms Excited for Fall Wardrobes

October 7, 2015 by admin

fall fashionFall is here, and most Stapleton moms couldn’t be more excited. “I’m so sick of my summer clothes,” said North Central Park mom Nikki Steiner. “This gives me a chance to revisit my fall clothes from last year, and more importantly, buy some new cute things.” Stacey Southall agrees. “New seasons bring new fashions and new colors,” said Southall. “Of course, I wear yoga pants a lot, but there are so many events to go to in the fall with fundraisers, and fall is a great time to go out with the girls.” The main 2015 fall fashion trends for women seem to be boots, skirts, thin scarves, comfortable shoes, and a little bit of bling. Fifteen Years Later, Stapleton Finally Prices Everyone Out

September 23, 2015 by admin

pricing everyone outIt took much longer than Forest City had planned, but Stapleton was finally able to price everyone out of the community. “We had a big celebration at the corporate offices,” said Forest City spokesperson Janelle Ayers. “This has been a long time coming, and it has been really neat seeing the entire thing unfold. Just a big, big accomplishment for us.” Ayers said there was a time Forest City was concerned they would never get to this point. “We definitely remember the dark days, when houses were being built and sold like hot cakes,” said Ayers. “A lot of people, including some in this building, thought we would never get to the point we are at today. It’s really an incredible story of perseverance.” Ayers said the point they knew they had priced everyone out was pretty surreal. “We caught wind of the story of a doctor and a lawyer with no kids who were looking to find a home in Stapleton. But, they were unable to find something in Stapleton they could afford. That’s when we knew we had done it. That’s when we knew we had officially created an ungated, gated community.” Forest City will continue to build new homes in their new neighborhoods, but they feel they have created an environment where only the super wealthy will be able to move in. “The only people who can move here now are the uber-wealthy, which is totally fine with us. We just want to make sure we aren’t getting commoners who make $250,000 a year or less. We’re actually hoping those types of people who live here now will sell and move to a more suitable neighborhood for their type.” Ayers says Forest City does not have complete control over the housing market, but they are doing things to manipulate the housing costs in Stapleton. “We don’t give away our trade secrets,” said Ayers. “But let’s just say the housing market in Stapleton will continue to increase for quite some time.” Stapleton homeowners have mixed feelings about the housing situation. “I guess I am happy I have a valuable home,” said owner Josh Miller. “But I don’t necessarily want to live in a community with a bunch of rich, snobby dicks.” Dave Peterson agrees. “I don’t love my increasing property tax,” said Peterson. “Sure, it is nice to have some equity in a home, but is it at the cost of having an even less socioeconomically diverse community? I’d prefer not.” Forest City plans to continue its celebration daily as home prices continue to skyrocket to unreasonable costs. ]]>

September 23, 2015 by admin

stanley architectural plansThe Stanley project unveiled their most recent architectural plans last week, and project leaders say they plan to continue to build designs through the fall of 2017. “We continue to improve upon our layouts and designs,” said Stanley project leader Mitchell Roberts. “We hope to have the final build of the plans completed by October 2017. After that, we will begin construction at the facility.” The latest design features open market space, beer gardens, event space, retail space, including several great retailers. “Our latest designs are really great,” said Roberts. “Almost to the point where we think we could start building it tomorrow. But Rome wasn’t built in a day, and why not continue to improve on these great designs we have going. Each day we start over, and build new architectural plans.” [Read more…] about Stanley Continues to Build Architectural Plans

September 23, 2015 by admin

mint town centerRecently, Forest City unveiled plans for its newest creation, a mixed use apartment building north of Founders Green in the 29th Ave. Town Center. “We are excited to announce another great opportunity for us to make massive amounts of money on high lease prices,” announced Forest City Spokesperson Janelle Ayers. “This will be a paradise for those able to afford it, as it will have a spa, courtyard, swimming pool, business center, along with other great amenities.” Forest City said coming up with the amenities was easy, the hard part was naming this sure to be beautiful structure. “The great amenities we are offering are pretty standard in high-end living,” said Ayers. “But, coming up with a name that encapsulates that? Well, that was pretty hard.” [Read more…] about Forest City Introduces Mixed-Use Apartment Building; Seriously Going to be Named The Mint Town Center

First “Scrapes” Begin in Classic Stapleton

September 23, 2015 by admin

scraping homesMany of the early Stapleton homes are over 15 years old, and for potential buyers, those homes have become outdated. “I guess it’s neat to own an old home, especially if you can say it was one of the first ever built in Stapleton,” says recent Stapleton home buyer Julie Gates. “But the reality is, these older homes don’t offer the modern conveniences some of us are looking for. Plus, at that age, things start to go bad, and we would probably have to begin replacing everything anyway.” Like many new Stapleton homeowners in the Classic Stapleton community, the Gates family purchased their Stapleton home for over half a million dollars, but they plan to tear that home down and rebuild one more of their liking. “It is a beautiful home,” said Steve Gates. “But, it just doesn’t have that new house smell. So, we are going to rebuild a more modern home, something more in touch with our liking.” [Read more…] about First “Scrapes” Begin in Classic Stapleton

Stapleton Residents Look Forward to Renaming “Aurora Park”

September 23, 2015 by admin

renaming Aurora ParkThe long awaited park on 26th Ave. has finally completed its design phase, and the design looks fantastic. The park will feature several trails as well as green space and two baseball fields. According to many Stapleton residents, the only problem seems to be the name. “I think it may be a little too beautiful to be called Aurora Park,” said resident Dave Mollering. “People are going to be confused. If you tell people to meet you at Aurora Park, no one is going to show. So, we just need to get to work on renaming it with a more suitable name. Maybe Stapleton Park?” Susan Klunder agrees. “It looks like such a nice park,” said Klunder. “Let’s not ruin the entire park by naming it poorly.” [Read more…] about Stapleton Residents Look Forward to Renaming “Aurora Park”

No Cost, Right Price

no cost rigt priceWith the new no cost salad options, King Soopers customers don’t have to worry about spending too much money on salads because there just aren’t that many to choose from. King Soopers Stapleton Store Manager Gary Stevens feels they are just making things easier for shoppers. “We just felt like we were giving people too many choices and that the store was getting too f—-ing crowded. So – we decided to scale back our salad options by just not stocking a lot of them. It really has helped move along store traffic and get you ass—, I mean, help our customers make your shopping experience go faster. We’ve been working on this same strategy in other parts of the store. Right now we just leave the pallets in certain areas to deter people from buying stuff.” [Read more…] about No Cost, Right Price
