The long time hit game show Jeopardy is coming to Stapleton in July and with the help of The Stapletonion will be trying out contestants for the show. The host will be Forrest City President Phil Dargossi, and he will be doing his best Alex Trebek. “I am very excited about this,” says Dargossi. “I have always loved the show, but have never been very good at it, and that includes the celebrity versions. This is a great promotional way to help out the Northfield economy.” [Read more…] about Jeopardy “Stapleton Edition” Coming in July
“Ponch and John” Maintain Order on Stapleton’s MLK
Recently, a portion of MLK Jr. Blvd. reduced the speed limit from 35 to 30 mph. To ensure a smooth transition, Denver PD deployed their two best motorcycle officers, Ryan “Ponch” Stagemeyer and Andy “John” Hamilton. The two received their nicknames from the popular TV show CHiPs. “People joke with us about it,” says John. “We don’t mind. We actually think it is pretty cool. Those guys were good lookin’ dudes.”

After Peyton Manning made his decision to become a Denver Bronco for what will probably become the rest of his career, he immediately began his search for what he will consider his home. The Denver area is full of nice neighborhoods, including Cherry Hills, Cherry Creek, Castle Pines, and many others. However, sources say that Manning wants to live in a neighborhood where he “can get to know his neighbors.”
Stapleton is known for being a tight-knit community and that is something Manning definitely wants. Although most people are unsure if Peyton has a wife, kids, or even a dog, since none have ever been shown on television, it appears he wants to break that mold with his move to Stapleton. “Peyton has always been very private,” says agent Tom Condon. “He will continue to be somewhat private, but wants to begin integrating into a community. After all, he may decide to live here the rest of his life, or at least until his kids are grown, if he has them.”
Peyton has not decided on a real estate agent, but definitely wants one from the Stapleton neighborhood. “We want someone who really knows the market, and understands the small pockets of Stapleton,” says Condon. There are no clear leaders right now, but Condon mentions that Manning is considering Stapleton’s Scott Petersen, as his name “just sounds familiar.”
The type of home he is looking for has not been decided on, but Condon mentions they have been online looking at the unique models of the Stapleton homes. One of the brands the Mannings are considering purchasing is a KB Home, but Condon mentions he would purchase an infinity “if the price was right.” The Mannings plan to be moved into Stapleton by the end of June.

“Realists” Perspectives at Community Meetings Not Appreciated
The Stapleton neighborhood does a great job with keeping community members involved in planning, progress, and events coming up. A majority of this community involvement is handled through community meetings, where committee leaders, developers, and planners hold open forums for people in the community to come in and share their opinions. There are often heated exchanges in meetings as opinions often differ. One thing that a majority of attendees can agree on is that no one likes the level-headed, common sense, realist perspective some are bringing. Iowa 80 Style Truck Stop Comes to CPB
If you’re like most residents, and you’ve been waiting for another car wash and gas station in Stapleton, then you don’t have to wait any longer. Iowa 80, world’s largest truck stop, is coming to an intersection in Stapleton. “Central Park Boulevard and Montview Boulevard is the perfect location for this type of a business,” says Forest City President Phil Dargossi. “We have been waiting for an anchor to build out this prime land and now we’ve got it. What’s better is that because the truck stop is so large we do not even need any other businesses, we will be able to fill the entire stretch of land east of CPB all the way to Digstown, that silly doggie day care. Who knows, perhaps the dogs can relocate and we can expand the truck stop.” [Read more…] about Iowa 80 Style Truck Stop Comes to CPB
One-Child Only Policy Being Instituted for All Incoming Residents
Due to the already high indexing children per household that Stapleton has, Forrest City in partnership with SUN and the MCA will only allow families with one child move into the already crowded Denver neighborhood. Couples with no children will be allowed, however, they will be limited to one child once they are here. [Read more…] about One-Child Only Policy Being Instituted for All Incoming Residents
Stapleton Couple Reaches Low Point After Bragging to Neighbors About “Best Vacuum They’ve Ever Had”
The Morningstars are like many Stapleton residents, they moved here from a more hip Denver neighborhood, the Lower Highlands. After Jacqueline got pregnant, they moved to Stapleton with their dog. Four years later, they have two children. Life has changed a lot for the Morningstars, from trying out Denver’s hippest new restaurants, to hanging at Noodles. But all families go through a similar change. However, no one would have envisioned how low things would get.
