Stapleton Neighbors Share Tearful Goodbye for Winter Season

November 3, 2015 by admin

tearful goodbyeHalloween is the unofficial end of fall for most Stapleton residents. The clocks change, it gets darker earlier, cold weather comes in, kids fall sports seasons are over, and skiing season begins. All of these factors typically signify the end of alley parties and random late night drinking with neighbors. This is certainly true for the Frazier and Dalton families. “They are such a big part of our lives for eight months of the year,” said Kelly Dalton. “Our kids are friends, and we have so many fun late nights with them. But, skiing season begins, and holidays, and the just being depressed from the dark and cold weather makes it so you don’t even want to leave your house. So, we probably won’t see our neighbors much in the next four months.” “We absolutely love the Daltons,” said Mary Frazier. “We do so much with them, but winter just ends up not being a good time for our families to hang out. We are hoping to find a time to schedule a visit with them over the next four months, but otherwise, it’s goodbye until spring. Emotionally, this is really hard for the adults, and I know it is hard on the kids as well.” So, the Fraziers and Daltons exchanged hugs, kisses, and tears, and said goodbye for the winter. “They will always be our dear friends,” said Kelly Dalton. “We just hope this winter goes quickly.” Mary Frazier agrees. “Luckily, with social media, we can still keep in contact with them, see what they’re doing, and even call them every once in a while. It is hard, but, hey, circle of life.” Residents all over Stapleton look forward to seeing their neighbors after the long, long winter. ]]>
