It’s (Un)Official: Stapleton is Denver’s Most Popular Neighborhood

December 17, 2013 by admin

stapleton most popularAccording to a recent Denver Post article, Stapleton homes received the most views on Trulia. Capitol Hill was second followed by Cherry Creek. “It is not an exact science,” said Trulia Co-Founder Pete Flint. “However, it will give you a general idea of how often people are looking at what homes and what neighborhoods, so it is a good place to start.” Some real estate experts are skeptical of the results. “Clearly, Stapleton is a popular neighborhood,” said real estate analyst Kelly Artz. “But there are a lot of things that skew the data.” Artz mentions that a large number of real estate agents live in Stapleton, and they are checking out the market around them frequently. This creates a lot of “false positives” when it comes to the data. “Furthermore, Stapleton residents seem to be obsessed with the value of their homes, always looking to sell their current home and move to another Stapleton home,” said Artz. Flint says he’s not quite ready to give Stapleton the “most popular” title in Denver yet. “Time will tell,” said Flint. “Right now, Stapleton has new homes being built in a new neighborhood with new schools. That is affecting the market. In 10 years, will people still be clamoring to get in there? It’s hard to say.” Artz has a similar perspective. “Obviously, people right now are trying to get into Stapleton,” said Artz. “But, once they are here, how long will they stay? These are the things I like to know before dubbing something ‘most popular.’” ]]>
