Scalia to Stapleton: “Pride Pool Party Unconstitutional”

July 9, 2013 by admin

Stapleton recently had another pride pool party, celebrating individual rights. For a majority of Americans, parties like this are not a big deal. And an even higher percentage of Stapleton residents support this type of community event. But for at least one Supreme Court justice, this type of party is not something that should be allowed in the United States. “These types of gatherings only help strengthen these groups and all of their argle bargle,” explained Scalia. “We have built this country on the backbone of argle bargle, and now, these people, and these events, hope to argle bargle the very foundation of this country. Understanding that this is where we are at as a nation just makes me want to argle bargle.” Scalia believes that an individual’s right to have a pool party that celebrates individual rights is “un-American.” “If you want to get involved in argle bargle, that is fine with me. Just do it in some other country. Don’t interrupt me. I will be over here argle bargling.” While a vast majority of Stapleton residents vehemently disagree with Scalia, some agree with him. “I am just for traditional community gatherings,” said resident Mark Travillan. “Like they talk about in the Bible. For example, I feel like we are a long ways away from stoning people in public, and way too close to acceptance. Just doesn’t feel right.” Residents that attended the party felt it was a success. “It was a great time, although they could have done better with the decorations,” said Scott Andreasen. Husband Mike Andreasen agreed. “It was a wonderful celebration, but I would have changed some of the music. Overall, we had a blast.” Scalia is also concerned with where allowing these types of gatherings will go next. “My biggest concern is that it is a slippery slope,” said Scalia. “Pretty soon, they will be having days at the pool that are specifically for dogs. I know, it sounds crazy, but it looks like that is where we are headed.” ]]>
