Scott Strassburg enjoys being social and getting together with neighbors and friends. He will meet them at restaurants, bars, parks, house parties, and basically anywhere. That is, except his own house. \u201cIt\u2019s not that I don\u2019t like people, I just don\u2019t want them in my house,\u201d said Strassburg. \u201cA lot of times they want to bring their kids. Have you seen what kids do to houses? They destroy them. Plus, I have to stress about what I have to get everyone to eat, drink, and so on. Then, there\u2019s pre-hosting cleaning and post-hosting cleaning. It\u2019s just a lot of stuff to do just to have a home game.\u201d Strassburg says that he is flexible when it comes to small gatherings. \u201cIf it\u2019s just a couple of the neighbor dudes without kids to watch a game, I\u2019m totally in. It\u2019s just the idea of having to put work and thought into it. Why add unnecessary stress?\u201d Strassburg admits that although he refuses to ever host, he expects to continue to be invited to other parties. \u201cI still think I\u2019m a good enough guest that even though I don\u2019t invite people to my place, I should still be invited to parties.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Friends and neighbors have certainly noticed Strassburg\u2019s lack of interest in having guests. \u201cWe have gatherings all the time,\u201d said neighbor Rob Keating. \u201cAnd of course, he comes over and brings his family. But, no, pretty sure we\u2019ve never all been at his place at one time.\u201d Friend Greg Johnson also doesn\u2019t recall ever being invited to Strassburg\u2019s for a gathering. \u201cI can\u2019t imagine a scenario where Scott would ever consider having other people over,\u201d said Johnson. \u201cHe has no problem bringing his crew anywhere, but God forbid he ever host anything. That\u2019s just Scott. He\u2019s kind of a dick in that way.\u201d Scott doesn\u2019t plan to make any changes in regards to hosting a party until his friends\u2019 kids get much, much older. \u201cI can\u2019t have a big group of young kids systematically destroying my house going room to room. No thank you. I\u2019ll wait until they just sit around watching movies or playing video games. But until then, I welcome all invites.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
