Cold weather and snow has sporadically hit Denver, and that means it\u2019s time to get out the gloves, hats, and boots. The Klingman family keeps all of these items in one big messy container. And the container is not just for the new items. The Klikngmans keep old gloves and boots that no longer fit the kids, or gloves they no longer use. Mom Dawn fully intends to sell the items on Swap<\/a> as soon as she gets around to it. \u201cWe\u2019ve just been so busy these last\u2026well, several years,\u201d said Dawn. \u201cBut, I will do it. I promise.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Some of the gloves no longer have pairs, or are so beat up no one would ever wear them, but have stayed in the container, nonetheless. There are even a couple hats and gloves that neighbor kids left years ago, but Dawn fully intends to someday return them. \u201cI meant to text them that next day, but I just kept forgetting,\u201d said Dawn. \u201cI feel kind of bad now, but better late than never.\u201d Husband Brian said the whole thing is \u201cgetting fucking ridiculous. I don\u2019t think it would take that long to go through it and throw some of that shit away or give it away at Goodwill,\u201d said Brian. \u201cWhen I go to find the hat I actually use, I have to fumble through about eight other random hats. And I can never find the right set of black gloves. That\u2019s right. All the adult gloves in that box are black, so I have to play memory every time I go to grab some gloves. Just fucking ridiculous.\u201d Sometimes the couple will keep gloves and hats in the correct coats, but that is only when they are prepared. \u201cIf we know it is going to be really cold the next day, we make sure to put the kids hats and gloves in their pockets so we don\u2019t have to go through the same scavenger hunt again,\u201d said Dawn. \u201cWe have to figure out a better system. But, I really thought the all-inclusive cold weather container would be a great solution. And old habits die hard.\u201d Dawn has plans to go through the container and sell things off, \u201cmaybe after the season is over.\u201d Happy hunting the rest of the snow season, Klingmans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
