\t\t\t\t\"Town-center\"<\/a>In what has seemed like a lifetime for many Eastbridge<\/a> residents, the Eastbridge Town Center<\/a> appears to finally be under construction. The Stapletonion posted its very first article<\/a> in March of 2011 discussing how soon businesses would be moving into the area. A short five years later, ground has been broken. The big concern for residents across Stapleton now, is whether life itself will continue. \u201cI guess we all wanted this, but never thought it would come to fruition,\u201d said Stapleton resident Joe Brooks. \u201cNow, myself, and I know a lot of others, are worried this is the end. Isn\u2019t this one of the signs of the apocalypse the Bible talked about in Revelation? At the very least, hell is freezing over, right?\u201d\nOther residents feel the same way. \u201cWhat happens when hell freezes over,\u201d asked Marc Shaffer. \u201cI mean, could it be a positive, or is it an end of world sort of thing? I honestly don\u2019t know, but I do know it\u2019s clearly happening now that the town center<\/a> is being built.\u201d The town center was originally promised to Eastbridge<\/a> home buyers about a decade ago. Long before Conservatory Green<\/a>, or Willow Park East<\/a>, or the Bluff Lake<\/a> Neighborhoods were even beginning. If not for the actual construction equipment and digging at the site, residents wouldn\u2019t believe it is happening. \u201cIt\u2019s pretty cool to see that we may be finally getting stuff that was promised to us<\/a> a decade ago,\u201d said resident Kirk Huebner. \u201cNow, I hope we get at least a little time to enjoy it, with hell freezing over and all.\u201d\nBiblical and \u2018end of time\u2019 scholars are certainly concerned with the development in Northeast Denver. \u201cThis is one of those things that has people worried across the globe,\u201d says Biblical Scholar Bart Ehrman. \u201cThere are things in the Old Testament that seem to be referring to this development, and it\u2019s concerning to all religions, not just Christians.\u201d Ehrman says if the Eastbridge Town Center<\/a> is a sign of the end of the world, residents shouldn\u2019t concern themselves too much with it. \u201cOnce an end of time prophecy is fulfilled, there’s no stopping it. You just need to enjoy the remainder of your days, however many that may be.\u201d For the sake of Eastbridge residents<\/a>, hopefully it\u2019s at least about a year and a half.]]>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
