\t\t\t\t\"man's<\/a>Stapleton dad Adam Retzlaff has two children, a five year old girl and a three year old boy. The family is no different than any other family with two young kids. There is a long process to get them both to bed, and even after that, they know things are just beginning. \u201cI have to lay with my son until he falls asleep,\u201d says Retzlaff. \u201cThen, I finish some work, or do some picking up around the house and head to bed. But, I always know my night\u2019s not over. Not by a long shot.\u201d\n\nRetzlaff says he will finally hit a good stride in his sleep, when one of the kids wakes him up. \u201cIt\u2019s always right when I hit my deepest sleep, or my REM sleep,\u201d said Retzlaff. \u201cI will be having some peaceful dream, or at least a dream where I know I am completely at ease, and right at that moment, one of the kids does something to wake me up.\u201d According to Retzlaff, his son either needs to use the restroom or is having a bad dream of his own, or his daughter decides she wants to come sleep in their room. \u201cOf course, I love my kids, and love seeing them any time,\u201d said Retzlaff. \u201cIt\u2019s just I don\u2019t get a lot great sleep. But somehow, they almost always know when I am in my deepest sleep. I feel like I am part of their polysomnogram and they are monitoring my sleep. And just when they know I hit REM sleep, bam! They break in to interrupt it.\u201d Retzlaff isn\u2019t sure what he can do to change things. \u201cMaybe it is just part of my current lifecycle.
