So – we decided to scale back our salad options by just not stocking a lot of them. It really has helped move along store traffic and get you ass—, I mean, help our customers make your shopping experience go faster. We’ve been working on this same strategy in other parts of the store. Right now we just leave the pallets in certain areas to deter people from buying stuff.”\n\nCustomers may have noticed the many empty areas in the salad aisle near the produce section of our local King Soopers store.\nAlli Meyers, a frequent King Soopers customer commented, “Yeah, I was looking for one of those Caesar Salad things, you know the bag of salad with bacon, and well, um, they’re hardly ever there. I mean, I’m trying to eat healthy, or at least eat some lettuce with my bacon and Caesar dressing and there isn’t much to choose from. I mean, do these guys actually expect me to buy lettuce and then buy vegetables and make the salad myself?”\nThe Stapletonion was actually able to reach King Soopers parent company, Kroger, about this serious salad issue. Randy Christin, Director of Inventory Management at Kroger regional Headquarters said, “Um, Yeah, we know, there aren’t a lot of salad choices there, but, well, that store is really busy and, um, I don’t think there’s a Sprouts close by so we really don’t have to a give sh-t…Oh wait, you guys are a newspaper? Well, we’ll do what we can to fix it. I can’t tell you when, but we hear your customers’ concerns.”\n“In a way, it might cut down on the traffic at the front of the store, I mean it always feels like an obstacle course trying to make it through the piles of stuff and displays near the entrance, so this non-salad thing, well, it might actually be a good idea,” said Ms. Meyers on her way into the store this past Tuesday afternoon. “We’ll just have to wait and see. King Soopers is sort of becoming a last resort as it is. This is where I go when I forget to go to Sprouts or Trader Joe’s.”\n\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_coblocks_attr":"","_coblocks_dimensions":"","_coblocks_responsive_height":"","_coblocks_accordion_ie_support":"","_genesis_hide_title":false,"_genesis_hide_breadcrumbs":false,"_genesis_hide_singular_image":false,"_genesis_hide_footer_widgets":false,"_genesis_custom_body_class":"","_genesis_custom_post_class":"","_genesis_layout":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[21],"tags":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-5922","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-issue-113","7":"entry"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5922","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=5922"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5922\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=5922"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=5922"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=5922"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
