\t\t\t\t\"flying_pigs\"<\/a>At the May 19th SUN meeting, Forest City President Phil Dargossi stated, \u201cThe Evergreen (Eastbridge Retail) project won\u2019t happen without King Soopers.\u201d According to Dargossi, King Soopers is definitely going in, but there are a few things Forest City needs to take care of prior to breaking ground. \u201cWe have noticed, and most certainly many of you have noticed, the situation with the flying pigs,\u201d said Dargossi. \u201cWe will not begin the Eastbridge retail project until we essentially clear the air of all these flying pigs. They are not good for residents and they are not good for business.\u201d\n\nDargossi\u2019s comments caused a lot of confusion at the SUN meeting, prompting attendee Paul Miller to ask, \u201cI don\u2019t think I follow you, and it seems a lot of people here are also confused. Did you say, \u2018flying pigs?\u2019\u201d Dargossi confidently followed up with his earlier comments. \u201cThat\u2019s right, flying pigs. They are a problem, and until we get them cleared up, we will not begin building. But, I assure all of you, we will eradicate these pests and get to building this project you all have been so excited about for so long.\u201d Another Stapleton attendee Leah Gregory again followed up. \u201cThis is crazy. You are saying that flying pigs are the reason you continue to delay the Evergreen Project? That\u2019s nonsense.\u201d Dargossi assured everyone the problem is very real. \u201cWhether or not you have seen the flying pigs is irrelevant. There are flying pigs, and we need to deal with that issue.\u201d\nDargossi says Forest City hopes to have the pigs dealt with by late August so they can stay on schedule. \u201cWe are hoping to break ground this fall,\u201d said Dargossi. \u201cThat would put us on schedule to be ready for open in the fall of 2016. The pig issue is our top priority, I assure you.\u201d Dargossi says he is \u201cvery confident\u201d things will get moving this fall.
