Stapleton sites help people find babysitters, good local businesses, places to eat, buy and sell items, among many other helpful areas. Most of these concepts spawned off the now defunct Stapleton Mom’s Yahoo! group. The scope was so broad, the site was getting overwhelmed with questions and answers, but didn’t have a specific focus. Much like chat rooms, residents have created topics and sub-topics aimed at getting people to the right area so they can get the best information quickly and accurately. “I really like all the different sites,” says resident Heidi Crum. “If I need help from a business, I go to Bizz Buzz, if I want to buy or sell things, I go to Stapleton Swap, and if I have a lost dog, I go to to Next Door. It just makes everything so easy.”

However, just when you think there are enough Stapleton sites, much like there are enough magazines, another one pops up. The latest from group creator Kevin Herold focuses on personal advice. “I would see people asking for personal advice on some of the other sites,” says Herald. “I would know it didn’t really fit, but where else were they going to ask those kinds of questions? Well, now with Stapleton Counsel people can go get personal advice from other Stapleton residents. The goal is to keep the questions and advice from Stapleton residents only. Stapleton is so unique, and the people are so smart and great, we want to keep the site exclusive to Stapletonians.”
Herald says the site can be asking for any type of personal advice. “People may be looking for direction in their careers,” says Herald. “Others may need help dealing with a problem in their marriage or need some parenting advice. Well, who better to ask than other people just like them who may have experienced the same issues?” Herald says the site will continue to help Stapletonians in navigating their needs. “It will remove some clutter from other sites, but at the same time, people will really work to help their neighbors with their personal problems.” To join Stapleton Counsel and begin getting the help you need from your neighbors, click here.

[13

0":"post-5631","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-issue-104","7":"entry
["GET
