\t\t\t\t\"Uplands<\/a>The Westerly Creek North\/Uplands project<\/a> is in full swing as evidenced by the many workers and trucks moving dirt in the Westerly Creek North Neighborhood. Although there has been a lot of information regarding the project, residents have been pretty quiet about the whole thing. \u201cAside from having a lot of dirt blowing around, and some loud trucks during the day, it really isn\u2019t that big of a deal,\u201d says Westerly Creek North resident Adam Young. \u201cIn fact, it is kind of exciting, as we have been staring at that ugly field with the prison behind it. Now, it looks like they have built a giant mound so we don\u2019t have to look at the prison. But, I have no idea what is really going on over there.\u201d\n\nOther residents agree with Adam. \u201cI really have no idea what is going on over there,\u201d said resident Robin Street. \u201cJust a lot of earth moving. Is it remediation<\/a>?\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s hard to envision what they are doing,\u201d says Scott Battenfield. \u201cI know there is a lot of information out there with maps and timetables, but I never think those tell the whole picture.\u201d Kim Luke agrees. \u201cWe see all the things going on over there,\u201d says Luke. \u201cBut, I don\u2019t want to look at tricky architectural renderings and flowcharts with timetables. I see things in a concrete way. So, I need to see what it looks like as it gets closer to completion.\u201d\nResidents are hoping the project goes well, but are prepared if things don\u2019t look like what they are hoping for. \u201cI\u2019m not even exactly sure what I am supposed to be expecting,\u201d says Young. \u201cSo, I am on a wait and see approach. If things start looking like it\u2019s not exactly what I want, I will definitely start complaining about it.\u201d Battenfield will also grumble if things don\u2019t go right. \u201cI\u2019m definitely prepared to start a Facebook group,\u201d says Battenfield. It\u2019s clear residents will be keeping an eye on this project and as it gets close to being finished, will certainly make sure it goes through the appropriate Stapleton scrutiny.\n]]>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
