All that is currently known is that the school will be located in the Conservatory Green neighborhood and will focus on a unique way of learning. The yet to be named school will continue the path of Stapleton schools being modern, technology-focused, as well as project focused. The school will use the popular web site Pinterest in helping kids work through problems, create unique projects, and work together as a team. “There are so many ways Pinterest can be applied to the core curriculum,” says Denver School Board member Andrea Gill. “It can be used for math and reading, and obviously art. The great thing about it is that kids will also get a chance to add to the bounty of Pinterest ideas with concepts they create, which hopefully will help others, not just in their school, but globally.”

Many Stapleton moms are exceited about the opportunity to send their child to a Pinterest-focused school. “I don’t live in Conservatory Green,” states Jennifer Lair. “But I will definitely try to get my kids into that new school. Pinterest is probably the greatest web site ever, and can absolutely be used as an educational tool. I find things there all the time, and have even submitted an idea or two. Not only will the school be great, it is something that could bring me and the kids even closer.” Other moms agree. “Really, this is going to be good for the entire family,” says Helen Seery. “I will definitely get more free time as I can have the kids plan and do the work for each other’s birthday parties.”
Pinterest CEO Ben Silbermann says that elementary education was not what his team had in mind when they created Pinterest, but does see its potential. “The world is changing so fast,” says Silbermann. “To keep up, you almost have to start ahead. Using the Pinterest concept to educate our youth may just be the best way to do that.” Silbermann says they will have no say in how the school is run, but they will be an active observer in the process. “We will definitely have people come down to the classes on occasion,” says Silbermann. “We will also keep in touch with the administrators and teachers to make sure we understand where they are having success and if this style of education should be opened to more global markets.”
The school will announce site plans and architectural plans sometime in March 2015. Once administrators and teachers are hired, they will be encouraged to decorate their rooms with ideas they get from, you guessed it, Pinterest.

[153

0":"post-5136","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-issue-90","7":"entry
["GET
