{"id":5005,"date":"2014-08-26T20:49:53","date_gmt":"2014-08-27T03:49:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/?p=5005"},"modified":"2014-08-26T20:49:53","modified_gmt":"2014-08-27T03:49:53","slug":"dont-call-it-a-comeback-pbr-back-at-berkshire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/?p=5005","title":{"rendered":"Don\u2019t Call it a Comeback:  PBR Back at Berkshire!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<![CDATA[<a href=\"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/berkshire.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stapletonion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/berkshire-300x142.jpg\" alt=\"berkshire\" width=\"300\" height=\"142\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5006\" \/><\/a>After what seemed like a decade, but could more easily be measured in weeks, PBR was off of the tap at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theberkshirerestaurant.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Berkshire<\/a> in Stapleton.  \u201cIt was really hard,\u201d said resident Kevin Vogel.  \u201cIt is a great, local place to eat and drink, and losing a top notch, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pabst_Blue_Ribbon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">award winning beer<\/a> definitely stung me a little bit.\u201d  Many residents counted on their late afternoon or evening PBRs at the Berk.  \u201cIt\u2019s just so American to enjoy a PBR with bacon,\u201d said resident and frequent Berkshire customer Rob Hodges.  \u201cSo, when PBR was gone, I felt like so was a little bit of America.\u201d\n<!--more-->\nThere are conflicting reports on why the <a href=\"http:\/\/pabstblueribbon.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">World\u2019s Greatest Beer<\/a> first left the Berk, but what is clear is that it had nothing to do with Berkshire management not appreciating the refreshing taste of the great American lager.  \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=942HcHKbOno\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">What\u2019s in the past is in the past<\/a>,\u201d said owner Andy Ganick.  \u201cWe have always been fans of PBR, and that has never changed.  We plan to move forward and will be back to offering PBR with our many great <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theberkshirerestaurant.com\/BarMenu.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">food options<\/a>.\u201d\nThe Berkshire says that PBR could be back as early as next week.  \u201cWe expect it to be back next week, and it will come back with the deserving fanfare,\u201d said Ganick.  \u201cThere will be specials on PBR as well as other drinks and appetizers, and we will make those announcements soon.\u201d  The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Stapletonion\/134225229968662\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stapletonion<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BerkshireRestaurant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Berkshire<\/a> will make the announcements on the specials as soon as they are available.
