\t\t\t\t\"Stapleton<\/a>The 2014 Stapleton Pride party<\/a> was again a huge success, with residents from all walks of life showing up to celebrate diversity in the Stapleton community. \u201cThe weather tried to keep us down,\u201d said organizer Kristen Miller. \u201cBut, nothing can keep down the great people who attended the party.\u201d The party went on despite the weather, but there was one hitch. A wedding that is.\n\nLongtime couple Mike and Scott became Mike and Scott Andreasen when they said their nuptials at the Stapleton Pride party. \u201cWe thought it would be a great place to get married,\u201d said Mike Andreasen. \u201cA lot of our friends from the neighborhood were going to be there as well as friends we invited. Why not do it in a setting so accepting in our great community.\u201d Party organizers were thrilled when they found out about the Andreasen\u2019s plans. \u201cIt was really a special moment for all who attended,\u201d said Miller. \u201cWe have always wanted someone to do this, but of course, never wanted it to be forced. So, when they came to us, needless to say, we were elated.\u201d\nScott and Mike have simple plans for their honeymoon. \u201cWe are actually going on a golf trip in Galena,\u201d said newlywed Scott Andreasen. \u201cWe both enjoy golf, and we are just going to go for about five days. We are really looking forward to it.\u201d Scott and Mike said they are very happy with their decision to get married at the Pride Party. \u201cWe wouldn\u2019t change a thing,\u201d said Mike. \u201cWell, maybe the weather.\u201d Who knows, maybe next year\u2019s Pride Party will have more than one hitch.\n]]>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
