From the homes in their exclusive Nantucket Close, to their list of models including the Easton, the Chestertown, the Annapolis, the St. Michaels, and the Cape May among many others, Parkwood does its best to make sure only the best become owners of Parkwoods. “We are trying to attract an upper-class buyer,” says Parkwood Spokesperson Brittni Fitzpatrick. “We hope that we can essentially name people out of our homes before having to price them out. So far, we think our system has worked very well.”

Coming soon, Parkwood plans to release its newest upscale townhome series, The Beacon Hill Collection. “Really, when we do our brainstorming, we think of one word, pretentious,” said Fitzpatrick. “Then, we start throwing things out there, and we are really happy with how this new collection played out.” One of the townhomes within the collection coming to Conservatory Green is The Belmont. “We really love this name,” said Fitzpatrick. “I mean, what says ‘rich white people’ like a townhome named after a triple crown horse race? I’m pretty sure that’s the only people that care about horse racing.”
Some residents have different opinions about Parkwood’s naming system. “I admit, I like their homes,” says resident Ray McDermott. “But, the names are just over the top. It almost borders on being racist. I mean, is there anyone aside from rich white folks that would even tour a home named the Lexington or the Rockport?” Fitzpatrick vehemently disagrees that Parkwood’s naming process is racist. “We aren’t just trying to attract rich white people,” says Fitzpatrick. “We want any and all qualified buyers considering our homes. And those could range from somewhat rich white people, to rich white people, all the way to incredibly rich white people. So, really the whole spectrum.” Parkwood will be holding a black tie event to introduce its Beacon Hill collection at the Belmont in Conservatory Green April 30th from 4-6. Wealthy white people are welcome, and champagne and hor d’oeuvres will be served (by non-white people).

[139

0":"post-4648","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-issue-78","7":"entry
["GET
