\t\t\t\t\"\"<\/a>The Stapleton MCA has experienced a lot of success with its \u201cWine on Wednesday\u201d events held at the MCA community room. Patrons come and try different wines, learn about the wines, and also enjoy different cheeses. \u201cThey have really been a huge success,\u201d said MCA President Liza Kampstra. \u201cWe always get a great turnout, and the community really seems to love it.\u201d\n\nOverall, the MCA does a great job organizing fun and educational events for the community. Beginning January 9th, the MCA will be adding its newest event. \u201cWe are calling it \u2018Bitchfest Thursdays,\u2019\u201d said Kampstra. \u201cIt seems like people are already getting together on Thursdays to bitch, so we want to start organizing it and owning the process.\u201d The MCA has not yet settled on exactly how it is going to work, but they have some ideas. \u201cOne of the things we are considering is simply having a topic, introducing it, and letting the fun begin,\u201d said Kampstra.\nKampstra mentions that there is no desired outcome to the events except riling people up, and potentially causing dislike or at least discomfort among neighbors. \u201cIt\u2019s not like a debate<\/a> where we are going to award points to those who make intelligent statements. People will get to come, say whatever they want, interrupt people, and raise their voices. It should be a lot of fun.\u201d Kampstra says she does not have a timetable regarding how long \u201cBitchfest Thursdays\u201d will run. \u201cAs long as people aren\u2019t in complete agreement on our issues, we will continue to have the events, and introduce stimulating topics relevant to the community.\u201d Kampstra says More information will be available as we approach the New Year, but residents should definitely be excited about this new event.\n]]>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
