\t\t\t\t\"\"<\/a>The Stapleton Beer Festival<\/a> is expected to be bigger again this year, and Stapleton dad\u2019s<\/a> are preparing for the festivities. \u201cIt is a great event,\u201d says Stapleton dad Scott Carman. \u201cIt\u2019s local, so I am not far, and I get to try lots of beers. The truth is, I don\u2019t care a ton about what they taste like, but I get to try a lot of them.\u201d\n\nThe challenge with many Stapleton dads hoping to attend the event is that they are usually married and typically have young children. The dads don\u2019t seem to let this get in the way of their fun, however. \u201cI take the family,\u201d says dad Tony Evans who has two kids, a four year old and a two year old. \u201cI figure I get credit for family time, and I get to drink lots of beer. The key is the prep work. It\u2019s all in the prep work.\u201d Evans says that you should get items packed the day before which include changes of clothes, a fully charged tablet (iPad), blankets, Teddy Grahams, cash, etc. \u201cIt makes for a much less stressful evening as you are getting ready to leave the house. Ideally, you want to invite friends with kids the same age as yours<\/a>, but you can\u2019t count on that.\u201d\nOther dads have figured out their own little tricks. \u201cI \u2018relieve\u2019 my wife and bring the baby,\u201d said Tom Hanson. \u201cI strap him in the baby bjorn, and I am good to go.\u201d Others use even more innovative techniques. \u201cI have a two year old, so they go from wanting to run around to wanting to be held,\u201d said Chris Lance. \u201cSo, I bring my beer hat so that if I need to hold my kid, I don\u2019t have to sacrifice drinking. The only drawback is that sometimes I get cups from two different beers so they are combined. But, it really isn\u2019t that big of a drawback.\u201d\nStapleton residents are encouraged to head on out to the beer festival and take in all the great beers, but don\u2019t take your golf cart<\/a>.\n]]>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
