\t\t\t\t\"\"<\/a>Residents in Eastbridge were long ago promised a grocery store in the nearby town center<\/a>, but most residents have all but given up that hope. \u201cWe were told it was going to be completed five years ago,\u201d says Eastbridge resident Steve May. \u201cWe would hear some rumors about one thing or another, but knew that we would basically have to do our grocery shopping at the car wash<\/a>\n\nRecently, rumors have swirled that Eastrbidge may finally be getting the anchor to a town center<\/a> they expected many years ago. Residents are not quite holding their collective breath. \u201cWe used to stress about it,\u201d said resident Sarah Litton. \u201cWe would get involved in the community meetings, email people, etc., but it was exhausting and never went anywhere. Quite frankly, I wish they would not have leaked the possibility and just built it if they were going to. I worry about people getting their hopes up.\u201d\nThe grocer<\/a> rumored to be coming to Stapleton is Lucky\u2019s Market<\/a>. The Stapleton community would seem to be a great fit for an independent grocery store<\/a>. \u201cThe community has been demanding a grocery store here for a long time, and now with the extra Aurora traffic<\/a>, we think that it has become an even more attractive location,\u201d said Forest City Spokesperson Janelle Ayers. \u201cWe hope that it all works out, and we can eventually make an exciting announcement to the Stapleton community.\u201d\nForest City is especially pleased that they are finally getting a meaningful response from a store. \u201cWhen we discussed the possibility of a grocer moving into the Havana Town Center<\/a>, we were getting a lot of rude, sarcastic replies from the grocers,\u201d said Ayers. \u201cIt was a little hurtful, so it took us a while to pick up the phone again. In fact, it took two years, and we are so excited that Lucky\u2019s Market<\/a> didn\u2019t hang the phone up on us or do anything else that would have hurt our feelings.\u201d\nResidents are cautiously optimistic about the latest news involving the Havana Town Center. \u201cYou know, I am managing my own expectations,\u201d said Litton. \u201cI am just assuming the worst, but hoping for the best.\u201d And such is life in the Eastbridge community.\n]]>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
