\t\t\t\t\"\"<\/a>Choosing to expand upon its outreach to the community, the Stapleton Library has launched an innovative new fundraising campaign. \u00a0Similar to the “Family Area” campaign mentioned in a recent newspaper article, the new Bathroom Door campaign will allow families to participate in being a part of the library.\n\nLiam Jepsen, a Stapleton resident, and on the Library Board suggested the idea to other Board members at a June meeting. \u00a0“In a tough economy, some families want to impress their friends, but just don’t have the cash laying around like they used to. \u00a0 We felt like this was a great way to literally open the door to those families who may not be part of the 1%, but still want to be recognized for their support.”\nAs part of the new Bathroom Door fundraising effort, Stapleton families get to choose among the 10 bathroom doors in the Library. \u00a0With a $500 donation, families will have their names put on a plaque on the door of their choice for at least a year. \u00a0Some examples of plaque choices include, “Jenkins Bathroom Door,” or “Bathroom Door donated by Jenkins family.”\nThe Stapletonion interviewed people at the Library this last week to gauge interest and got a variety of comments. \u00a0Jessica Swarbrick of Eastbridge commented that “Everybody is going to go in and out of those doors at some point when they are at the Library, especially if they make a trip to Starbucks beforehand, so I think this is a great idea.” \u00a0\n“I’ve been wanting to help out, but I also would like to impress my neighbors so they think I’m more involved in the community than I actually am. \u00a0I am going to talk to my family, but I definitely think we’re in,” said Craig Posekany, 39, who lives fairly close to the new Library. \u00a0“I can’t wait to go to the Library and go through my new favorite door,” he said.]]>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
