\t\t\t\t\"\"<\/a>\nOne of the many benefits to living in Stapleton is the closeness of the community and that you really get to know your neighbors. Because of this, neighbors often pass down baby clothes, kids sporting equipment, watch each other\u2019s pets or children, water each other\u2019s flowers, and of course borrow household goods. Typically, these items include baking goods such as eggs, flour, sugar, or even sometimes the occasional power tool.\nRecently, resident Dave Leonhart took it a step further. \u201cI had been drinking a lot during the day, and I didn\u2019t want to get in the car to go anywhere,\u201d says Leonhart. \u201cMy wife had told me to make sure to get milk for the kids, and I completely forgot about it.”\nDave called a trusted neighbor and asked if he could come by to borrow some milk. \u201cWe often borrow these types of things from each other, so it was no big deal,\u201d says Elise Kloster. \u201cWhen he came over, I had the milk all ready to go for him when he said, \u2018would you mind throwing in some Crown Royal as well?\u2019 Luckily, I did have some, but it was the first time either of us has asked to borrow alcohol from the other, so I guess the flood gates are open.\u201d\n\u201cElise is a great neighbor, and I would absolutely do the same for her in her time of need,\u201d said Leonhart. \u201cIn fact, I look forward to it.\u201d\nSUN Outreach leader Helen Buchan does not necessarily disapprove of the practice. \u201cIt is all about how well you know your neighbors,\u201d says Buchan. \u201cIf you feel it is something that you would give them, and something that you feel wouldn\u2019t offend them, it should not be a problem at all.
