She looked around the house and the yard for almost three minutes, before finally calling 911 to report the missing white child. Within four minutes, the FBI, local police, fire department responded to her house, and the amber alert was on the airwaves within 10 minutes. The local news networks interrupted programming to show a picture of young Shannon 12 minutes after the “disappearance.”
Luckily, Shannon was playing hide and seek and was found 13 minutes after the original call for help from Sarah. She was hiding in a basement closet talking to one of her favorite dolls. She came out when she got bored of the conversation, and was surprised to see all of the guests in the house. “There were lots of police people and people that wore church clothes,” said Shannon. “Mommy later told me not to hide like that again.”
The Amber Alert was canceled, and Mayor Hancock held a press conference 20 minutes after the original reported disappearance. “It is with great happiness I report that Shannon Dahlhauser has been found,” said Mayor Hancock. “Stapleton, and the rest of Denver, can rest easier tonight knowing this little girl is safe and sound at home.”
The FBI and local police want to stress that not all Amber Alerts are this successful, and typically, they would like you to look for your child for at least 20 minutes before calling the police. However, if you are a Stapleton resident, you should feel free to immediately contact the police.

[39

0":"post-1166","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-issue-13","7":"entry
["GET
