Signs, Signs, Everywhere Signs—Stapleton Boasts Most Signs Since 2012

August 12, 2014 by admin

signsStapleton residents have never been afraid to get political and let their voices be heard. During a Presidential election year, every other house will have a political sign. But, in non-election years, yard signs decrease dramatically. However, recent happenings in the last three months have created a perfect storm, and signs now adorn 80% of Stapleton homes. First, Stapleton had the hail storms in May which caused sporadic damage to roofs and fences. Roofers market themselves by placing a sign in the yard while they are completing their work. Over 30% of Stapleton homes received hail damage, and therefore, many homes have roofing signs in their yards. “They are doing good work,” said resident Josh Crumm. “So, if they can get some more business by simply placing a sign in my yard, it doesn’t bother me.” More important to Eastbridge and Bluff Lake residents, Forest City and King Soopers have agreed to a deal which will place a King Soopers in the Eastbridge Town Center. Many residents are not very pleased with the concept of another giant King Soopers in the Eastbridge Town Center lot. So, one way they are fighting it is by adorning yard signs to help remind residents of what the center could look like. “You know half of the reason I am so pissed is just because of how it went down,” said resident Jane Chickerneo. “The whole thing looks pretty shady. Had it been dealt with years ago, I would have been less angry. But, waiting ten years just seems slimy.” ]]>
