Stapleton Technology Corner: Hottest New Apps to Help Navigate Stapleton

July 2, 2014 by admin

hot stapleton appsStapletonians are known for being pretty tech savvy as well as extensive social media users. For those reasons, The Stapletonion is highlighting the most useful and hot apps for Stapleton residents.

Fresh Ex

The Fresh Ex app is a great app for those single or divorced Stapleton residents. Have you had your eye on that hot Stapleton mom or dad, but know they are married? Will they always be married, or at some point, will they be on the market? Well, Fresh Ex will help you answer those questions. Fresh Ex uses county court records and divorce filings to notify you of when your favorite hot mom or dad has filed for divorce, giving you a leg up on your competition. The app even allows you to send an E card to your person(s) of interest. All you have to do is put in your person(s) of interest full name and city, and the app does the rest. Happy hunting! $5.99

Auroran Lookout

The Auroran Lookout app helps you track Aurora vehicles as they pass through your neighborhood. All Stapletonians see cars and trucks going through our neighborhood and think, “I bet they are from Aurora,” and “did they steal any of my stuff?” Well, the Auroran Lookout app will help you answer at least one of those questions. The app uses registration data for vehicles and advanced GPS technology. The app also identifies improperly registered vehicles or those with expired plates, which the app assumes are Aurorans as well. You can also set alerts on your phone if you want to be notified if an Auroran vehicle is either moving slowly or stopped in front of your house or in your alley. $1.99

Fast Gas

The Fast Gas app helps you find the Stapleton gas station with the shortest line so you can get in and get out. Fast Gas tracks the usage at both 711’s, King Soopers, and Sams Club and allows you to view the lines at each station. The app will include the Eastbridge Soopers gas station after it is completed as well as the planned 711 in Conservatory Green. Fast Gas will also let you know the peak times for each station so you can estimate where you should get your gas during the week at certain times without even needing real-time data. $0.99

Pool Tool

The pool Tool app allows you to track several things at the Stapleton pools, from lines and crowds to which pool has the hottest moms. Pool Tool relies mostly on user-generated feedback and GPS services which allows people to see what pool their friends are at without having to text or call them, as well as monitor how crowded the pools are. Users are also encouraged to give feedback on the level of hotness of the ladies at the pool, and can even upload photos of the hotties to post on the site. FREE!

Diversity Alert

The Diversity Alert app allows residents to notify other residents instantly if they see someone who is not white in the neighborhood. It relies solely on user-generated content and GPS data. When members see a “non-white” they simply report it in the app, and the app will notify other members of the location of the sighting. Members are also encouraged to include notes with the sightings, such as “moving slowly” or “looking suspicious.” The app does not use specifics in regards to non-whites, as users have found that there is no reason to know whether someone is Hispanic or African American, just that they are not of Caucasian origin. The app has replaced the cumbersome Stapleton Moms Yahoo! Group, which took way too long to notify residents of non-white sightings. $0.99

Playdate Predictor

The Playdate Predictor app allows you to find out what kids you want your kids spending time with. Content is user-generated, and users input reviews of different kids in the neighborhood based on their playdate experiences with them, including a five star scale and specific comments about the kids. Users can input the interests of their own kids as well as interests of themselves to help find the best playmate for their little one. There is no way something can go bad with this one, right? $0.99 *If you have other ideas for apps or improvements on these current apps, please comment on this thread, as developers pay close attention to the needs of Stapletonians. ]]>
