New Builder to Bring Urban Homes to Conservatory Green

December 11, 2012 by admin

Part of Stapleton’s appeal is its housing diversity. Most people that live in Denver are not from Denver, so builders offer many housing designs from around the country to make you feel more at home. Grew up in Massachusetts? You can buy the Cape Cod model. Did you call the Upper West Side home? There’s the New York Brownstone available. San Francisco is your home base? Check out the Russian Hill design. But Stapleton is also about economic diversity, and affordable family homes have not been one of Forest City’s strengths. Forest City recently contracted with builder I Mean URBAN Estates to offer a myriad of homes that bring an urban feel from different areas all over the country. If you are from Chicago, you may be interested in the Cabrini Green. If you are from New York, I mean URBAN Estates can offer you The Harlem, or if you are from upstate, how about The Albany? Those from Detroit might prefer the Eight Mile. And finally, Californians may enjoy a Cyprus Park. “These developments authentically recreate all of the wonders of these famous and wonderful places,” Cameron James, head of sales for I mean URBAN Estates said. Starting in the Spring of 2012, adventurous present and future Stapletonians can be a part of I Mean URBAN Estates‘ revolutionary new take on urban housing. Chicago demolished the last Cabrini Green building in 2011, but where some cities saw plight, I Mean URBAN Estates CEO Scott Williams saw demand for affordable housing. “The 80’s and 90’s are back in a big way. And it’s not just stretch pants and over-sized fluorescent T-shirts, it’s also in housing,” Williams said. “And now, for the first time, people can actually choose to live in these places.” Each residence is part of a larger complex with all of the available upgrades such as iron bars on the windows, a pregnant pit bull, or a chain link fence. And the common areas are chock-full of extras as well. Empty pools, discarded refrigerators, hypodermics, and tires are just some of the many amenities residents of these wonderful places can expect. “Best of all, these homes are very spacious and affordable. 250-450 square foot one-bedrooms are available from the mid-20’s, while penthouses with over 700 square feet can be purchased for less than $35,000,” James gushed. With 500 residences available at those prices, they may not last long. According to James, pre-sales began on November 1 and he has already sold a handful of properties. James actually purchased one himself. “That way I know my product,” James mumbled as he lackadaisically spun his giant “From the Mid-20’s!!” arrow.
