72% of Stapleton Parents “Seriously Considered” Abandoning Family in 2011

Local parent Brad Haugen totally understands. “There are times, especially in the winter, where I realize the highlight of my week was going to King Soopers by myself to get groceries for a half an hour,” says Haugen. “So, have I thought about ditchin’? Yeah, I’ve thought about it.” The study goes on to show that only 3% of parents actually due end up leaving their families and that that for most, it is just a brief fantasy. “Everyone daydreams,” says Epley. “Whether it be about playing on a professional sports team, becoming famous, or even making out with Rachel McAdams. We all do it, but understand these are just fantasies.” Epley mentions that the key to keeping these just fantasies and not reality is variety. “Do things differently every week and make sure to break out of your same routine every now and then,” says Epley. “The more often you have a ‘run away’ fantasy, the more likely it is to come true. ]]>
