Settling Stapleton Homes Becoming Major Issue

The Stapleton community has been around for over 10 years now, which means so have many of its homes. Homeowners understand typical growing pains in a new home, especially those built in a new community. Typical things may include cracks in crown molding, doors not shutting as well, staircases needing adjustments, etc. These minor issues are expected, but many homes are having more troubling issues.

“Our house has been around for 12 years, and it is really starting to sink,” said Old Stapleton resident Kyle Gregory. “Unfortunately, we are out of warranty, and our builder has been out of business for three years now. We really don’t know where to turn.” Gregory is like many residents in Stapleton who are having some troubles with settling.

Residents are struggling to see where they have recourse. “With the home builders out of business, who can we talk to,” asks Gregory. “We are hoping that we can claim that poor remediation by Forest City is the reason for the settling issues.” Residents feel there may be some action they could take against Forest City. Hopefully, these residents are able to find a lawyer within the community.
